Classic battered shrimp deep fried in real cooking oil that has been used over and over and over again Their white rice and gravy is just the perfect combo with the shrimp. Who knows why but it just does. Like when it used to be in DTLA on Main Street where the Ronald Reagan building is now. They also have a chili sauce that if you mix it some ketchup, oh dang is it good with some shrimp‼ So if you're out there partying and want some good food for a quick snack, go to Johnnys Shrimp Boat. Also in Boyle Heights on Whittier Blvd near Soto Street.

Been going to Johnnys since I was a kid eating at the boyal heights location and then the one in Norwalk. All 3 locations share the same taste and never miss. Shrimp and fish are excellent and to switch it up they have great chicken bowls too.

Real OG spot right here. There are two other locations I think but this WC location has played an integral role in many of our lives. You're going to need to order the fried shrimp with anything else you are getting here. Everything is great and an orange bang alongside any classic meal right here at this establishment. Great family spot and the owners are great people.

This is a small restaurant/burger place. It is like a burger stand, nothing fancy. My husband likes to come here because when he was a young man he would go to Johnny's Shrimp boat in LA which is no longer there.

Carving an old favorite and happy I stopped by. Fried shrimp is nostalgic and just hits the spot. Service was great today as well. Got there 30 mins before closing and still able to get anything I wanted. Even threw in a side of gravy without asking, which went great with the fried. Shrimp is getting a bit small, which is the only reason I can't go 5 stars, but still solid and hits the spot every time. Always add that chili!
